Release Schedule
- Vue 7 xStream and Vue 7 Infinite are available for purchase as of today!
- The Free Personal Learning Editions of Vue 7 xStream and Vue 7 Infinite (PLE) will be available shortly.
- The Vue 7 line of products for 3D Artists and Small Studios, comprised of Vue 7 Pioneer, Vue 7 Esprit, Vue 7 Pro Studio and Vue 7 Complete, will be released within one month; localized versions (French and German) will follow by the end of this year.
- Finally, Ozone 4.0, the atmospheric plugin for 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Lightwave, Maya and XSI is scheduled for release beginning of 2009.
You can choose to get your product as a Download, in a DVD case (CD set only, with electronic documentation), or as a full Boxed version (which includes the 630-page printed Reference Manual).
What's New in Vue 7 xStream and Vue 7 Infinite?
With over 100 new features and technology enhancements, the new features of Vue 7 would be too long to list here! (Plus, we wouldn't want to spoil you the read :-)
Just to give a taste of what's in the box, here are some of the great new features you'll find in Vue 7:
- Full integration: Vue 7 xStream is now completely integrated into 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Lightwave, Maya and XSI. You can create environments using your standard application tools.
- Vue 7 xStream now works with all supported applications and renderers. You don't have to buy another license to use xStream with another product/renderer.
On top of this, you will benefit from the following:
- Spectral II Cloud Technology,
- EcoSystem III,
- new Radiosity Engine,
- improved SolidGrowth IV plants,
- new Water Editor,
- new OpenGL engine,
- advanced object scripting,
- Collada file import,
- new natural algorithms,
- faster rendering (up to 4 times faster!), and much, much more...
Finally, both Vue 7 xStream and Vue 7 Infinite ship with an extended library of over 160 SolidGrowth plant species (some of which were previously only available through Cornucopia3D.com, retailing for a total of over $1,000).

New Licensing Scheme
There is no longer any disctinction between nodelocked and floating licenses: all licenses become floating as soon as they are added to the new optional e-on License Server.
If you are currently using a floating license of Vue 6 Infinite or xStream (including network rendering licenses), we will offer you the new e-on License Server (a $495 value) when you upgrade!
Point-Five Releases
In the course of the coming year, we will be releasing Vue 7.5. This paid-for ".5" release will introduce new features and technologies. These new features and technologies are undisclosed at this point.
Service Packs (former software updates) will remain free of charge for everyone.
Priority Support and Maintenance Plans
On top of the standard support services provided by e-on software, registered users of Vue 7 xStream and Vue 7 Infinite now have access to the following advanced support options:
- Per-Incident Priority Support: flexible, pay-per-incident priority telephone support with qualified e-on software technicians, advanced diagnosis and follow-up support until the incident is resolved.
- Standard or Premium Maintenance Plans: based on a yearly subscription, these plans include advanced support services as well as free .5 and full upgrades during the subscription period (including the upcoming Vue 7.5). The benefits of both plans vary: check the comprehensive descriptions here.
Previously available support services are still available to those who do not subscribe to a maintenance plan. Likewise, if you are a user of Vue 7 Esprit, Pro Studio or Complete, the usual support services are still available.

Upgrades and Sidegrades:

Upgrade and sidegrade prices for Vue 7 xStream and Vue 7 Infinite are available here.
Vue 6 Infinite users have two upgrade options:
- Upgrade to Vue 7 Infinite for $395, or
- Upgrade to Vue 7 Complete for $99.
Introductory Offers
There is a special introductory pricing for Vue 7 xStream at $1,195 for a full license (instead of $1,495), and $395 for the upgrade from Vue 6 xStream (instead of $595). Other sidegrade options also benefit from this introductory pricing; see website for details.
If you purchased Vue 6 Infinite or Vue 6 xStream after October 1, 2008, you are eligible for a Late Buyer discount on your upgrade order (an order # or proof of purchase will be required upon order).
Finally, all owners of a Vue 6 floating license will receive the new e-on License Server free of charge with their upgrade order (upon request).
All introductory prices are valid until February 2, 2009.
Vue 7 Solutions for Vue 6 Infinite Users
Vue 7 Complete was designed as an alternative to Vue 7 Infinite, for users who want all the "bells-and-whistles" but don't need the production-specific tools of Infinite.
If you are a Vue 6 Infinite user, we give you the choice to either upgrade to Vue 7 Infinite, or to Vue 7 Complete (when it is released):
- Vue 7 Infinite - Upgrade from Vue 6 Infinite: $395
- Vue 7 Complete - Upgrade from Vue 6 Infinite: $99

Vue 7 Complete does not include the extended plant library available with Vue 7 Infinite and Vue 7 xStream, but you can purchase this library from Cornucopia3D.com for $199.
Other Upgrade and Sidegrade Options

Vue 7 Solutions for Schools and Students
The Vue 7 licensing scheme for educational licenses is now based on an annual subscription (licenses are valid for one year from the date of first activation). This annual subscription includes free upgrades to any .5 or full versions released during the subscription period.
Educational license pricing is as follows:
- Vue 7 xStream Educational License: $149
- Vue 7 Infinite Educational License: $99
- Vue 7 Infinite or Vue 7 xStream RenderNode Educational License: $49
Expired Educational Licenses will continue to operate as PLE; this limitation is automatically removed (when the subscription is renewed), by simple re-activation.
